The Zag was just drafted by the organization with the 54th overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft.

The Boston Celtics recently announced that they have waived forward Anton Watson to make room to sign forward Miles Norris to a two-way contract. Watson never played with the big club in Boston as he spent all of his time with their G-League affiliate, the Maine Celtics.

He has averaged 12.0 points per game on a 42.6 three-point percentage, 5.4 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game through 21 games played. As of right now, Watson will most likely stay with the team in Maine.

Hours before he was cut on Sunday, Watson was seen practicing at the TD Garden along with the two other two-way players for the Celtics, guard JD Davison and forward Drew Peterson.

Watson was named to the First Team All-West Coast Conference in 2024 and was the state of Washington’s Mr. Basketball in 2019. 29 other NBA franchises have the opportunity to get a steal from the Celtics.
