A day to remember for the rest of the Gonzaga legend’s life.
March 28th, 2025 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn will be a day to always remember in the Timme household. Drew Timme checked in off the bench for the Los Angeles Clippers vs. Brookyln Nets matchup, marking his first time in an NBA game. He was rocking the No. 26 on his back, in case you were ready to purchase his jersey.

It didn’t take long for the Gonzaga great to start contributing for the Nets. He was finding his teammates for some wide open looks out on the perimeter.

The 6’10 power forward’s first bucket came off a nice feed down-low from point guard D’Angelo Russell. Timme finished with the right-handed layup over the likes of Los Angeles’ guard Bogdan Bogdanović and forward Kawhi Leonard. The first of many points to come from the Texas native.

Timme finished with 11 points on 4-for-6 field goals/1-for-3 three-pointers/2-for-3 free throws to go along with 10 rebounds. He’s the fifth player in Brooklyn’s franchise history to record a double-double in their NBA debut.
It was an overall impressive outing for Timme who continued to show off his post moves and make fantastic live ball passing reads. It was a disappointing blowout loss for the Nets to the Clippers, 132-100.

This is only the beginning for Timme as he recently signed a two-year deal with the organization. Congratulations are in order as it has been a long journey from going undrafted back in 2023 and fighting his way through the G-League to achieve his NBA dreams.
