The trip to Spokane is set to be sometime in June.

6-2, 185-pound five-star recruit Ikenna Alozie is planning an official visit to Gonzaga in June. No exact date is set. He is also planning trips with the Kentucky Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks, Louisville Cardinals, and Houston Cougars. The Washington Huskies and Arizona Wildcats are also in the mix.

The Zags just started recruiting Alozie, so they have some catching up to do.

“I still don’t know much yet because they started recruiting me late. So it’s a new program and new recruitment process for me.” – Ikenna Alozie on Gonzaga via On3

Out of Dream City Christian in Arizona, Alozie is ranked the No. 9 overall recruit and the No. 1 point guard in the 2026 recruiting class. According to Adam Finkelstein of 247Sports, he “combines extreme speed and power to be able to get downhill like few other players in the country.”

“I want to increase my playmaking skills. Obviously I can score, get on the rim, drive the ball, and all that, but being able to create for my teammates is something I want to improve more.” – Ikenna Alozie via On3

Representing Nigeria on Team World at the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, Alozie scored nine points on 2-for-9 field goals/0-for-3 three-pointers/5-for-8 free throws, six rebounds, five assists/four turnovers, three steals, and one block in the 124-114 loss to Team USA.

Alozie is originally from Lagos and is looking for a family atmosphere in his choice of a college. Gonzaga very much has that feeling.

“I’ve been away from home for a long time. Honestly, somewhere that’s going to take me in and make me family. That’s the first thing I’m looking for. Somewhere where I am going to feel like home again.” – Ikenna Alozie via On3

Along with Alozie in the Class of 2026, Gonzaga is targeting No. 1 Tyran Stokes, No. 12 Toni Bryant, No. 39 Sam Funches, No. 55 Dean Rueckert, and No. 172 Kohl Rosario (rankings per On3). Stokes and Funches are also setting up official visits with the Zags very soon.
