Gonzaga coach Lisa Fortier is trying to bounce back after missing the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016. Starting in 2006-07, the Zags have been to the Big Dance a total of 15 times.
The NCAA women’s basketball transfer portal opened up on March 25th and will close on April 22nd. Here is everything that has happened so far:
- Redshirt junior guard Bree Salenbien entered the transfer portal and committed to the Ball State Cardinals.
- Sophomore guard Claire O’Connor entered the transfer portal.
- Freshman guard Teryn Gardner from the Boise State Broncos and Mead High School in Spokane commits to Gonzaga.
The 2025-26 group will look a lot different without star Yvonne Ejim on it as well as with the departures of Tayla Dalton, Esther Little, and Maud Huijbens.
As of right now, Fortier has seven names on the roster led by six returning players in star Allie Turner, Claire O’Connor, Ines Bettencourt, McKynnlie Dalan, Christabel Osarobo, Ella Hopkins, Vera Gunaydin.
This piece will continue to be updated as more names start to file in throughout the offseason.
