The Gonzaga legend is preparing for the EuroLeague Final Four in Abu Dhabi with Greek powerhouse Olympiacos.
Nigel Williams-Goss has signed a record-breaking 1.5 million euro deal with Zalgiris Kaunas of the Lithuanian Basketball League and EuroLeague. That is the biggest contract in the club’s history.
Before he begins with his new team, the former Gonzaga star is preparing for the 2025 EuroLeague Final Four in Abu Dhabi with his current club, Olympiacos of the Greek Basketball League. As a key member of their backcourt, he’s averaging 8.5 points and 3.4 assists per game.
The 6-3 guard scored 38 points on a 55.6 three-point percentage through four games against Real Madrid in order to reach the Final Four. Fantastic to see that Williams-Goss still is an efficient sharp-shooter while controlling the offense on the court.
Williams-Goss isn’t a stranger to Final Four appearances, both in the United States and overseas. He was the focal point of the 2017 Gonzaga group that made it all the way to the national championship game. The now 30-year-old also won the EuroLeague with Real Madrid in 2023.

The Happy Valley native has quite the European basketball resume, with stops in Serbia, Greece, Russia, and Spain. He even played with the Utah Jazz organization during the 2019-2020 season, the same franchise that drafted him with the 55th overall pick in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft.
Take a look at the list of trophies that he has collected during his time overseas:
2024 Greek Cup
2023, 2024 Greek Supercup
2023 EuroLeague champion
2022 Spanish League champion
2021, 2022 Spanish Supercup
2018 Serbian Cup
He looks to add another EuroLeague title to that resume with Olympiacos as the Final Four tips-off on Friday, May 23rd against Monaco of the LNB Elite in France. The third-place game and championship will follow on Sunday, May 25th.
This is the first time that the well-known event is being held outside of Europe in Abu Dhabi.
