The news is huge for the youthful Gonzaga backcourt, and provides Gonzaga with one of its most dependable scoring options to help supplement Nolan Hickman and Hunter Sallis.
Bolton, who transferred to Gonzaga from Iowa State, made an immediate impact last season. He averaged 11.2 points per game and led the team by shooting 46 percent from long range. A one-man fast break, Bolton provides a level of speed that fits perfectly into Gonzaga’s high-octane offense.
For Gonzaga fans, this is welcome news on a multitude of levels. The Zags squad is talented, but needed a boost that was largely missed during the initial transfer portal season because of the number of players involved in the draft process. On a community level, Bolton entrenched himself and quickly made a difference in Spokane. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome him back.
