Class of 2026 five-star Jaxon Richardson breaks down four schools recruiting him early

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Jaxson Richardson, the No. 14 overall sophomore who plays with Cayden and Cayden Boozer at Christopher Columbus High (FL.), has starred early on in his career, even on a loaded roster.

The 6-foot-6 wing had 9 points and 8 rebounds, 6 being on the offensive glass, in an 81-62 win over Long Island Lutheran (NY.) at Saturday’s HoopHall Classic.

“I’m definitely a hustle player, I play my hardest,” he told ZAGSBLOG postgame. “I crash the boards a lot and just doing all the little stuff to help us win is kind of what I do for my team.”

Richardson, the younger brother of Michigan State commit Jase Richardson, has early offers from Alabama, Michigan, Arizona State, Washington, Cincinnati, San Diego State and UNLV.

He mentioned Alabama, Cincinnati, Washington and Michigan as the four schools recruiting him the hardest.

“I’ve talked to all the coaches a couple of times,” he said. “I really like their energy’s and positives vibes.”

Richardson recapped two some of his options:

Alabama: “I definitely think I could be a great fit in the system because Alabama plays fast. I’m out on the wing and can jump pretty high so I feel like I could bring my athleticism toward Alabama and help them out.”

Cincinnati: “Cincinnati is a similar thing too. Them being in the Big 12 now is cool.”

Richardson will be an instrumental piece for a Columbus team that looks to capture a national title on the public school stage. With the Boozer twins slated to graduate in the class of 2025, Richardson will be a name to watch over the next few years.
