FISHERS, IN — Katrelle Harmon, the No. 54 ranked prospect in the 2026 class, has always been a gifted basketball player. But now, he’s taking the extra steps to become much more than that.
“I think on the mental side, the maturity, the leadership, he’s shown a lot of growth,” Wasatch head coach Paul Peterson told ZAGSBLOG. “Being consistent with his attitude everyday to work. And just being a leader to all of those guys.”
Harmon — the 6-foot-5, 180-pound guard — was a key piece in Wasatch’s impressive season, where the Tigers were a No. 9 seed at Chipotle Nationals and ended up making it to the quarterfinals. In two games, Harmon averaged 9.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 4-of-11 (36.4%) from the field and 2-of-6 (33.3%) from deep. Wasatch fell to the eventual champions, No. 1 Columbus, 76-60.
“It was just crazy,” Harmon said of Wasatch’s season. “The very first game we lost to Montverde by 30, and ever since that we just picked it up and came together. It’s been a good season. We went 26-5 so there’s nothing to be sad about, but losing always hurts.”
As far as his game, Harmon describes himself as someone who can score, find his teammates and play defense. He feels he’s currently best as a playmaker and is constantly working on his ball handling. Harmon averaged 6.5 assists per game during the EYBL scholastic season.

On the recruitment front, Harmon currently hold 20+ offers. Schools like Creighton, Louisville, Oregon, USC and Washington were all in to see him during the high school season. He’s taken visits to Creighton and Washington and will take some more in the fall after the AAU season. Harmon is specifically eyeing trips to Creighton, LSU, Oregon and USC.
Here’s the guard’s breakdown of some of the schools involved in his recruitment:
Creighton: “I just like how Creighton is like [Wasatch]. They are with each other everyday. They never really turn their backs on each other. They know how to hoop, play together. They are just a family.” Assistant coach Trey Zeigler mainly in contact.
Oregon: “They are a family. They have culture. Hard work everyday. I just like how they carry themselves on and off the court, how they’re together too.”
Washington: “I grew up out there. They have a new coaching staff, so they been contacting me like every week. They are just building a new team, so it’s hard to tell right now, but I feel like they are going to be pretty good.”
Harmon said Louisville and USC reach out here and there, but he doesn’t know much about either program. When picking a school, Harmon is looking for a program that is “family oriented.”
“That’s pretty much it,” Harmon said. “They’re going to let me rock out, play my game, have good guys around me.”
Harmon has basketball in his blood. His father, Leonard Harmon, played Division III basketball and spent some time playing overseas.
This summer, Harmon will be playing on the EYBL circuit with Vegas Elite.
