Crowns are inherited, kingdoms are earned. Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Season 4, Episode 3

Many teams were given titles during the offseason like Best Transfer class, but starting tomorrow, teams will have to earn their accomplishments by how they play on the field.

  • While not directly related to UW, the news that the SEC will be moving to a 9-game conference schedule starting in 2026 is impactful across college football. In an interview, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey explained that the CFP move to weight strength of schedule was a factor. In addition, SEC teams will be required to schedule at least one Power-4 opponent in a non-conference game each season. That could mean some opportunities for UW to play SEC schools.
  • Several Pro-Dawgs have had bad injury news recently. One of the latest is Patriots WR Ja’Lynn Polk who is out for the season with a shoulder injury that will require surgery. Jalen McMillan of the Buccaneers is on injured reserve after suffering a neck injury.
  • UW won’t be travelling the most this year, but they are in the top 10.
