Every game feels monumental during the season, but this game between the Huskies and Illini feels extra important for the big picture trajectory of the season. It might be the best chance for UW to beat a ranked opponent. It might be the most evenly-matched game the Huskies play in terms of overall team quality. It’s one of the games where there is no scheduling disadvantage and the Dawgs get to play a home game at a regular time. While we don’t have confirmation yet, it seems like several important players might be back from injuries at just the right time.
