I don’t know about the rest of the Husky fanbase, but I have mostly positive thoughts about the friendly rivalry. Any jealousy about losing an in-state star in Kellen Moore across the border is more than cancelled out by Chris Petersen choosing to leave Boise for Seattle. The Dawgs have generally played well against the Broncos in their meetings over the modern era, and it feels like Boise has been more of a thorn in the side of our rivals (3-1 vs. Oregon, including the memorable Blount punch). Putting it all together, I can’t say I was thrilled to have drawn Boise St. in the LA Bowl, but like matching up with the same guy you guard week after week in a pick-up basketball game. We know each other, we mostly get along, and we’ll have a good game. Lastly, I just can’t bring myself to actually call this game the “Bucked Up LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk.” It feels like a bit from 30 Rock.
Kickoff at 5 PM Seattle time from SoFi Stadium.
TV: The game will air on ABC with Dave Pasch, Dusty Dvoracek, and Taylor McGregor on the call. You can stream the game through the ESPN app.
Radio: The live radio broadcast will air via the Washington Sports Network from Learfield. As usual, Tony Castricone, Cam Cleeland, and Elise Woodward will cover the game, which is available on KJR 93.3 FM, the Huskies GameDay app, or the Varsity app.
Welcome to the game thread and Go Dawgs!
