Happy Monday Dawg fans, and welcome to today’s Dots.
The signing of a stellar football recruiting class is still sending out positive vibrations, but Jedd Fisch’s Huskies haven’t much time to relax in the run up to their bowl game. The “Bucked Up LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk” comes just two weeks after the final regular season game against Oregon; familiar foe Boise State awaits the Huskies this Saturday at SoFi Stadium.
We all hoped the Huskies would make the CFP, but glass-half-full at least they aren’t involved in the s***show the CFP selection has become for fringe teams. However legit expanding the field seemed as a way to quell the FOMO griping, it all seems to be an even bigger mess in just the second year of the 12-team format. As the football season transitions from the regular season into its new-normal of chaos, men’s basketball put together consecutive 2nd half comebacks against the LA schools (1W, 1L), and men’s soccer is in the final four of the NCAA championship. Women’s basketball had been undefeated until their loss to the Trojans last night.
- Watch out! Danny Sprinkle’s Dawgs just pulled off a monster comeback against the Trojans in their house. Dawgman: “Danny Sprinkle: The USC win actually happened the night before the game“

- Jedd Fisch’s Huskies had their annual end-of-season banquet, and all manner of awards were handed out. Makell Esteen won the Guy Flaherty Award for most inspirational player as voted by his teammates, Alex McLaughlin won Defensive MVP, and Dezmen Roebuck won Most Outstanding Freshman.
- In the wake of what shaped up as UW’s best football recruiting class – a goal set soon after Jedd Fisch arrived on Montlake – this article details the high school careers of all 25 incoming signees.
- And let’s not forget — at the end of the day we’re a rowing school. “From Reluctant Rower To World Champion” — “Ryan Martin ’26 almost walked away from the sport—but now he’s setting the pace for Washington and Team USA.” (GoHuskies.com)
