Happy Monday Dawg fans, and welcome to today’s Dots.
The Dawgs trounced the UC Davis Aggies on Saturday night 70-10 on Montlake, scoring a touchdown on every offensive possession and then some. UW had 34 1st downs, went 11/13 on 3rd down, and piled up 628 yards with zero turnovers.
After a UW victory the likes of Saturday night’s, I’m gonna suspend any mention of things that can still be improved (there will always be things to improve), just to enjoy the feeling of scoring 70 points on an opponent (Has a familiar ring to it…) and the offense scoring a touchdown on 100% of their opportunities — an uncommon feat in the game of football. I’ll just bask in this warm glowing warming glow as we look forward to a second September Apple Cup. Or to appropriate a line from Tom Hardy’s Bane in The Dark Knight “Now is not the time for [complaining]. That comes later.”
- Here are Christian Caple’s day-after thoughts “The Day After: 21 more thoughts on Washington’s win over UC Davis”, his post-game report “Washington blasts UC Davis: ‘We did what we were supposed to do’ ”, and for good measure here is Caple’s On Montlake YouTube channel

A couple of Boston’s moves on this return were so smooth you could buff your car with them. More of this PLEASE.
