Happy Sunday Husky fans. The Huskies signed 25 commits in the 2026 class, after the late addition of 3 star tight end Kekua Aumua the Huskies class sits at #12 in the composite rankings (via 247sports). The #12 ranking is the highest in modern day rankings and the Huskies loaded up their roster everywhere. Today I wanted to take a look at the offensive signees.
At quarterback the Huskies brought in Derek Zammit, who is rated as a 3 star player from New Jersey. Zammit, was rated as the 29th best quarterback in the country by 247sports, is a dual threat quarterback who has the ability to develop into a starting quarterback after a year or two in a college program. He is listed at 6’1” and around 195 pounds he chose the Huskies over Alabama. With all of their quarterbacks returning the Huskies should have the ability to let Zammit develop.
At running back the Huskies added one of fastest running backs in the country in Brian Bonner. Bonner, who is rated as the 7th best running back in the class by 247sports, is a dynamic running back who can score from anywhere on the field. Listed at 6’0” and around 185 pounds Bonner has a big enough frame that he should be able to get into the 200 pound range and become an every down back in college (and he should compete for carries as Adam Mohammed’s backup next year). The Huskies brought in a bigger back in Ansu Sanoe, who is rated as the 66th best running back in the country and a 3 star player. Sanoe was the first commit in the 2026 class and a player who has a similar frame to Jonah Coleman (he’s listed at 6’1” and around 210 pounds) and is a physical back who can punish defenses.
In the offensive trenches the Huskies brought in some serious talent along the offensive line in 5 star offensive tackle Kodi Greene (from Mater Dei HS, CA). Rated as the #1 player in the state of California by 247sports, Greene is highest ranked offensive lineman the Huskies have brought in to the program. Greene is an elite offensive tackle who should be able to come in and compete for early playing time. The Huskies also brought in 3 star offensive lineman Dominic Harris who is a massive offensive lineman who can play inside or outside (he’s listed at 6’7” and over 350 pounds and rated as the 66th best offensive tackle in the country by 247sports). The Huskies also brought in a developmental piece in Ah Deong Yang, who is rated as a 3 star player. Yang, is a massive offensive lineman in his own right, and he projects as an inside player in college (he’s listed at 6’3” and around 350 pounds). The Huskies added an early impact player in Greene and 2 interesting massive players who can develop into solid players in Harris and Yang (with the majority of the offensive line returning Dang and Harris should be able to redshirt and develop).
At the WR positions the Huskies added 2 massive late additions in 4 star wideouts Jordan Clay and Trez Davis Clay is a big bodied wideout who projects as X on the outside for the Huskies and Davis is more of a flexible piece who can play inside in college (Clay is rated as the 17th best wideout in the 2026 class and Davis is rated as the 24th best). Both Davis and Clay were massive pickups who should be able to come in and compete for early playing time. The Huskies ended up bringing in three 4 star wideouts in the 2026 class and leveled up the talent level in the wide receiver room with more size, speed, and dynamic play. 4 star wide receiver Mason James was one of the top rated players in the class before the Huskies went on a flurry and added Clay and Davis late. James reminds me a lot of former Arizona wideouts Jacob Cowing and Dorian Singer when Fisch was running the offense down in Tuscan and should have a similar role (he’s listed at 5’11” and around 175 pounds and rated as the 33rd best wideout in the class). The 4th wide receiver the Huskies added in the class is an underrated player who had massive production in his junior year. Blaise Lavista, who is rated as the 203rd best wide receiver in the country, is a bigger wideout who has the ability to develop into a solid piece for the Huskies (think someone like Jake Bobo in college). I expect Clay, Davis, and James to play a lot next season for the Huskies and add some different skills and bodies to the wide receiver room and compliment players like Dezmen Roebuck, Raiden Vines-Bright, and Chris Lawson (all freshman wideouts).
At tight end the Huskies brought in Kekua Aumua on Friday, whose nickname is Rhino. Aumua, who is a massive tight end that is listed at 6’5” and around 250 pounds (he is rated as the 39th best tight end in the country). The Huskies were wanting to get a physical tight end and they got just that in Rhino who should come in with a college ready body and ability to block. At the Decker DeGraaf role the Huskies brought in 3 star tight end Sam Vyhlidal. Vyhlidal, who is listed at 6’4” and around 225 pounds should be able to develop into more of a receiving tight end who can be utilized in may ways in the offense (he is rated as the 84th best tight end by 247sports). Aumua will likely be called on to play early while Vyhlidal could be eased into use and utilize a redshirt season.
Overall the Husky staff added some massive talent to their offensive arsenal that should help them close the gap between them and the top B1G teams. I expect a lot of early contributions from some of these signees next year and Husky fans should be excited to hear their names on Montlake.
