Top Quarterback Prospect’s Measurements ‘Are The Buzz’ At NFL Combine

It’s that time of the year where a quarterback prospect has people buzzing at the NFL Combine simply because of their hand size.

According to NFL insider Peter Schrager, there’s significant buzz in Indianapolis regarding Michael Penix Jr’s measurables. His throwing hand measured in at 10.5 inches.

If the measurements from the NFL Combine are accurate, Penix will be in the top 10 all-time for hand size.

“Michael Penix, Jr. measurables are the buzz right now,” Schrager said. “6-foot-2, as expected. The rest… 81’ wingspan, 10.5 inch hands, 33 5/8 arm length. His hand size is in the Top 10 all-time for QBs at the Combine, and is same as Anthony Richardson (6-foot-6) last year.”

While these measurements will probably help Penix’s draft stock, what truly matters is his tape. Fortunately for him, the film shows an accurate quarterback willing to take chances downfield.

Penix is coming off an outstanding season at Washington where he completed 65.4 percent of his passes for 4,903 yards with 36 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He was one win away from finishing his college career as a national champion.

Most analysts have Penix ranked behind Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels and J.J. McCarthy. That being said, he should still be selected within the first 50 picks.

Where do you think Penix will end up?
