Husky hoops is back, and the football team hits the road coming off their bye. To the dots!
Basketball Dots:
- The Hannes Steinbach hype grew steadily all summer and his performance in his debut last night did nothing to slow that down. The Huskies look to have a serious player:
- Washington’s intra-B1G transfers had nice debuts as well. Sommerville came from Rutgers, Yates from USC (though was at Washington as a freshman), and Bryson Tucker from Indiana:
- If it wasn’t obvious, the Huskies had a big win:
- Here’s the full story on the game from Seattle Sports.
- The women’s team started their season with a blowout, too:
- Speaking of the women’s basketball team, UW dug up this classic photo:
Football Dots:
- Jedd Fisch met with the local media yesterday for his weekly press conference and team update. Christian Caple recaps it all here. Sadly, it looks like WR Rashid Williams sustained another injury (this time in practice) and won’t be back this weekend as was originally expected.
- The college football world is starting to take notice of the Huskies after their 6-2 start. With a solid chance to go 3-0 in the next three weeks, the Huskies would face Oregon in a mammoth showdown in Husky Stadium in the last game of the season. Win that, and this could be a reality:
- We got a Purdue game time:
