Tuesday Dots: Portal Shopping

December 30, 2025 by UW Dawg Pound

Happy New Year and I hope you’re all enjoying your holiday season. It’s quiet-ish in the news department, but here’s what’s going on in the world of Washington Athletics. To the Dots!

Dots

  • Christian Caple examines position-by-position where the Huskies need portal help. Defensive line, edge rusher, running back and receiver are the key positions where Washington needs the most help.
  • Offensive tackle Maximus McCree is entering the transfer portal. He was primarily a backup these past couple of years and likely would have been again in 2026.
  • ICYMI, the Huskies defeated Utah last night in Hec Ed. UW now enters B1G play in earnest with a stretch of extremely challenging games, starting January 4th at Indiana.

  • There was a lot of this last night for Kepnang against the Utes. He finished the night with six blocks:

  • The consistent contributors for this Husky team are emerging:

@UW_MBB has a Big 3 forming:

Hannes Steinbach last 6 games: 20 ppg and 12 rpg on 60% shooting

Zoom Diallo last 6 games: 16 ppg on 56% shooting

Desmond Claude last 5 games: 18 ppg on 53% shooting

Claude started to get going in USC game and others are feeding off of it.
