Happy Thursday Husky fans. The Husky coaches got some good news today when 4 star wide receiver Zerek Sidney from Desert Edge HS, AZ committed to UW. Rated by 247sports as the 36th best wide receiver in the 20227, Sidney committed to UW over ASU, and Oklahoma. Listed at 6’0” and around 175 pounds Sidney is an interesting wide receiver who excels at getting open. This last season Sidney was injured for much of the year but in his sophomore season he had 45 receptions for 591 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Coach Fisch and his staff have targeted playmaking receivers and Sidney fits that profile. He has some of the same characteristics as Dezmen Roebuck, who broke through and made an immediate impact for the Dawgs. Sidney joins in-state commit Braylon Pope to give UW a great foundation of receivers in the ‘27 class.
