The show goes on.

After failing to make the NCAA tournament, both the Washington State men’s and women’s teams accepted invitations to other postseason tournaments.

The men’s team will be playing in the innagural College Basketball Crown tournament, beginning on March 31st, and the women will be playing in the WNIT, which kicks off on March 20th.

The College Basketball Crown will be exclusively played at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, with every game airing on FOX or Fox Sports 1. The field consists of 16 teams, including some familiar names in Utah, Oregon State, Arizona State, USC, Colorado, and Oregon State. WSU will be the second game of the tournament on March 31st, going against the Georgetown Hoyas at 2:30pm PST on Fox Sports 1. If they get past the Hoyas, they will play the winner of Nebraska and Arizona State.

Kamie Ethridge’s team earned a first-round bye in the 48-team field for the WNIT and will await the winner of Air Force and Utah Valley. The date, time, and location for their first matchup are still yet to be determined. WSU will need to win five games in a row to crown themselves WNIT champions.
