Reports indicate that the OC is taking the same role at the University of Oklahoma

Jake Dickert has lost both of his coordinators today, though for decidedly different reasons.

While defensive coordinator Schmedding was told to pack his bags, offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle has left of his own volition according to reports. Signing a three year deal to join Brent Venables’ staff in Norman, OK as the Offensive Coordinator.

This past season saw the WSU offense score 36.75 points and 440.42 yards per game, good for 12th and 23rd in the country statistically. It also featured a breakout year from sophmore quarterback John Mateer, who Arbuckle tapped to replace current heisman contender Cam Ward.

Arbuckle lead the Cougar offense for two seasons.

Sources: Oklahoma is finalizing a three-year deal to make Washington State’s Ben Arbuckle the school’s new offensive coordinator. Washington State finished No. 9 in scoring offense this year and was a successful coordinator at Western Kentucky prior.
