MetLife Stadium will host primetime football for the second straight evening when the New York Giants play the Seattle Seahawks. A Seahawks staffer might have gotten his days crossed.

Swift attended a Sunday Night Football matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets. Her presence drove a huge spike in viewers, some of whom may now perceive Zach Wilson as a superior quarterback to Patrick Mahomes if watching football for the first time.
But bad news for Smith: Swift isn’t expected in attendance Monday night. Unless ESPN finds another celebrity to show every other minute, the network may actually have to focus on the game.
The Seahawks and Giants both surprised fans by making the playoffs last season. Monday’s NFC showdown could go a long way toward gauging if either team is capable of returning.
Seattle responded to a Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Rams by scoring 37 points apiece in victories over the Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers. While quarterback Geno Smith is showing last season’s breakout wasn’t a fluke, only the Denver Broncos have allowed more yards per game than the Seahawks.
Meanwhile, the Giants have gotten walloped by two title contenders in the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers. On the bright side, they avoided an 0-3 start by overcoming a 20-0 deficit to beat the Arizona Cardinals.
With road games at Buffalo and Miami on the docket, the G-Men can’t afford another loss. However, the Giants must prevail without star running back Saquon Barkley and left tackle Andrew Thomas.
The Monday Night Football matchup begins at 8:15 p.m. ET.
