It isn’t just fans who are annoyed with the officiating in tonight’s Thursday Night Football matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks.
During the third quarter of what has been an exciting, albeit flag-laden NFC contest, Amazon Prime Video play-by-play man Al Michaels offered up his frustration with the men in stripes.
Michaels suggested on the air that he and partner Kirk Herbstreit take the rest of the evening off and allow referee Clete Blakeman to call the game.
“We’re going to take the rest of the night off. Let Clete Blakeman call the game.”

It’s early in the fourth quarter at AT&T Stadium, and so far tonight, the two teams have combined for 62 points and over 600 yards of total offense but also 252 yards of penalties on 18 total infractions.
Sure, some of them have been legit, but there has been a lot of ticky-tack stuff getting called, marring an otherwise tremendous late-season game that has been the best Thursday night showcase of the season.
You can catch the end of Cowboys-Seahawks on Amazon Prime Video. Hopefully, this game won’t be decided by a controversial call.
