A shoulder injury is going to keep Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson off the field for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. But will it keep him away from the team entirely?
According to Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Watson will be making the trip to Seattle. But he will not be on the active roster for the game.
Veteran journeyman P.J. Walker will be getting the starting nod while rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson will serve as the backup. Walker came off the bench to lead the Browns to a second win in a row against the Indianapolis Colts.
Watson suffered what appeared to be a concussion in the Colts game and was eventually cleared from concussion protocol but did not return to the game. He is reportedly dealing with an injury to his right shoulder.

P.J. Walker is no long-term solution for the Browns at quarterback though. He has yet to throw a touchdown despite winning his last two appearances for the team.
What the Browns really need if they want to sustain success with their No. 1-ranked defense is to get the passing game going – preferably with a healthy Deshaun Watson leading the charge.
The Browns-Seahawks game will be played at 4:05 p.m. ET and will air on Fox.
