Earlier this offseason, the Seattle Seahawks made a blockbuster move, trading star quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos.
In the trade, the Seahawks received the No. 9 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft – along with a plethora of other picks and players. On Thursday night, the team used that No. 9 pick on former Mississippi State star offensive tackle Charles Cross.
Fans immediately flocked to Twitter to say the same thing. The team waited until Russell Wilson was gone to finally give the offensive line some help.
“Once Russell Wilson leaves the Seahawks start drafting LTs,” one fan said.

“Cross is now a Seahawk. Not a Bad Pick at all But… SHOULD’VE MADE PICKS LIKE THIS WHEN WE HAD RUSSELL WILSON WHO ACTUALLY DESERVED IT,” another fan said.

Perhaps if the Seahawks used some picks on the offensive line when Wilson was there, he might still be there.
As it stands now, he’s in the AFC and the Seahawks are looking for their quarterback of the future.
