If Geno Smith struggles at any point this season, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll may want to consider subbing himself in at quarterback.
On Thursday night, the Seahawks shared an epic highlight reel of Carroll playing quarterback at practice.
Carroll will turn 72 years old next month, but that won’t stop him from throwing against his body in practice.
The social media manager for the Seahawks had the perfect caption for this video. They wrote, “QB Pete coming soon to Quarterback on @netflix.”
Here’s the video of Carroll slinging the pigskin:

NFL fans couldn’t help but gush over this video of Carroll.
“No looking throws and using cocky wrist action on the follow through, there has never been a 71 year old with this type of juice before, appreciate greatness,” one person said.
“Moving like this at 71 is insane. Pete is a gift,” a fan wrote.
“Pete goes through progressions better than Russell Wilson,” another fan joked.
Moments like this in practice are why Carroll is such a beloved coach in Seattle. His energy is truly infectious.
The Seahawks will kick off the 2023 regular season against the Rams on Sept. 10.
