Jamal Adams’ return to the field for the Seattle Seahawks after missing all of last year with an injury was marred by a concussion he suffered mere minutes after getting into his first game of 2023. But it was then further marred by Adams seemingly getting into it with a medical staffer who told him he couldn’t play.
Adams was seen yelling at a member of the concussion review team after being ruled out. In the aftermath of the game, there was speculation that the Seahawks safety might face discipline by the NFL for his actions.
However, it appears not discipline is forthcoming. According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the league has decided not to punish Adams.
Per the report, Adams’ mid-week apology combined with a review of the incident led the league to determine that no discipline is needed.
“After reviewing the incident and seeing Jamal Adams’ apology, the NFL has decided not to discipline the Seahawks’ safety for his actions toward the independent concussion doctor appointed by the NFL and NFLPA following his concussion sideline evaluation in Monday night’s game,” Schefter wrote.

NFL fans were certainly satisfied that the league chose not to punish Adams. Many have pointed out that the incident didn’t even deserve the level of scrutiny that it received:
he shouldn’t have to apologize we all know he didn’t mean it

It’s the right move for the NFL to not fine him,

Good, it was a competitive fire moment and he clearly just wanted to be on the field.
Common sense decisions are ok

Do you think the NFL made the right decision here?
