How the Seahawks offensive line lined up to start Week 2 of OTAs

June 3, 2025 by Field Gulls

NFL: Seattle Seahawks OTA
Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

An early look at the competition along Seattle’s retooled offensive line.

The Seattle Seahawks held their first Organized Team Activities (OTAs) in front of media members on Monday. Apparently Sam Darnold threw a couple of interceptions in 7-on-7 drills, but I’m here to tell you that it’s absolutely nothing to even discuss unless those picks were . If he plays well in actual games then throwing interceptions on June 2 will be a footnote, and if he performs poorly I can’t imagine anyone is looking back at OTAs as the moment it all went wrong.

Instead, let’s focus on something a little more tangible since it usually provides us insight into the camp battle timeline. The Seahawks offensive line is pretty easy to figure out at left tackle (Charles Cross), left guard (Grey Zabel), and right tackle (Abe Lucas). Center and right guard are a little more uncertain, as well as what the competition spots are like on the second team.

The first-team reps were split at center between Olu Oluwatimi and Jalen Sundell, while right guard reps were (once again) between Anthony Bradford and Christian Haynes.

The second-team is a little more interesting with Michael Jerrell out at left tackle, Sataoa Laumea moving out to left guard, while swing tackle Josh Jones is on the right side. Haynes also reportedly had a few reps at center.

Nothing yet on rookies Bryce Cabeldue and Mason Richman and how they factor as far as moving higher up the ladder, but it’s June and those two are Day 3 picks so I beg of you not to worry. Maybe one thing worth noting is Bradford doing drills after suffering what was effectively a season-ending ankle injury last November. Lucas was also apparently able to handle a normal offseason workload, which is a big plus given his injury history.

We’ll keep tabs on other notable lineup-related news at OTAs throughout this week!
