The Shedeur Sanders sage is finally over, and the Seahawks were involved.
At long last, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been drafted, and the Seattle Seahawks were involved in that process.
No, the Seahawks didn’t draft Deion Sanders’ son. But they did trade their fifth-round pick (No. 144) to the Cleveland Browns, who sent them a fifth-rounder (No. 166) and a sixth-rounder (No. 192) in return.
From Colorado to Cleveland!

Sanders was thought to be a first-round pick heading into the draft. He wasn’t selected. Then he kept sliding and sliding out of Day 2. The son of the legendary and polarizing Deion Sanders wasn’t even taken in the fourth round to kick off Day 3. Would he go undrafted in one of the great shocks in NFL Draft history?
Nope. The Browns took him, and interestingly enough took him after selecting Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel in the third round, not too long after Seattle selected Jalen Milroe.
So not only have the Seahawks drafted a quarterback, they’ve traded one of their quarterbacks and traded one of their picks to a team who landed the most polarizing QB in this year’s class.
