After losing their season-opener to the Minnesota Vikings, the Seattle Seahawks decided to get some reinforcements for their offensive line. Their reinforcements come in the form of a 19-year NFL veteran.

On Tuesday, the Seahawks signed veteran offensive tackle Jason Peters to a deal. The announcement was initially made by Peters’ agent.

Peters is 41 years old and spent the 2022 season with the Dallas Cowboys.

Over his 19-year career, Peters has earned nine Pro Bowl and six All-Pro selections. He was voted to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team for the incredible seasons he had with the Philadelphia Eagles between 2009 and 2020.

The Seattle Seahawks are hoping that this year they can make a serious playoff push after shocking the world with how good they were in 2022.

Keeping quarterback Geno Smith upright and blocking well for the run game is going to be crucial.

We’ll find out in very short order whether Jason Peters still has the skill to contribute on the other side of 40.
