It turns out the Seattle Seahawks did address the contract situations of all three of their holdouts this year.
Quandre Diggs now has a restructured deal, including more guarantees – similar to how the Duane Brown contract changed.
It also frees up even more cap space for Seattle.
The Seahawks converted Quandre Diggs’ $100K in per game roster bonuses into salary and accelerated $5.05M of his salary into a signing bonus while adding a void year, per source.
After holding in for much of camp, Diggs receives extra injury protection, Seattle gets cap space.

That’s significant cash moved up front as a sort of injury guarantee for Diggs.
Both the moves of he and Brown were pretty quiet at the time, as the players simply returned to practice without fanfare.
The Pro Bowl safety has declared repeatedly how blessed he is to be in Seattle, and undoubtedly it’s a pairing that both sides want to continue in the future. Some sort of contract discussion will be at the forefront of this offseason’s agenda.
In the meantime, the Seahawks continue to steadily acquire far more cap space than they traditionally carry throughout a season, and the crest of the wave is building towards some bigger move.
