The Seattle Seahawks just walked off the Detroit Lions in overtime on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Geno Smith to Tyler Lockett.
Smith’s game-winner game on 3rd and 2. Had Seattle not converted, they’d have likely kicked a field goal and Detroit would have gotten a chance with the ball.
Lions fans are going to be talking about a no-call on the final play for a while. It appeared that Detrout defensive end Aidan Hutchinson was held by Seattle offensive tackle Jake Curhan.
No flag was thrown though, and Geno connected with Lockett to even both team’s records at 1-1.
Have a look for yourself.
Should this have been called holding against Seattle on their game-winning play? pic.twitter.com/n4zZe2kup6

Here’s a shot from another angle.
The Hold – @aidanhutch97 would have sacked Geno Smith to stop Seattle from scoring the game winning TD. @nflcommish this is BS – last week as well with KC offsides on every play to get a jump on Hutchinson #lions pic.twitter.com/gUXGROnLz4

The overtime loss is a bitter pill to swallow for the Lions, who battled back from a 10-point deficit to force the extra frame.
Seattle took a 31-21 lead on a pick-6 by Tre Brown with 8:04 remaining in regulation, but Detroit responded with a Jared Goff touchdown pass to Josh Reynolds before Riley Patterson sent the game into OT with a field goal as time expired.
Seattle will host the Carolina Panthers in Week 3, while the Lions will host the Atlanta Falcons.
