Report: Ravens Two-time All-Pro May Be Surprise Trade Candidate

December 6, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

The Baltimore Ravens are fighting to win their division at 6-6 in a close battle with the Steelers, but trade candidate Marlon Humphrey could be on the move during the 2026 offseason. According to ESPN, the Ravens could be willing to trade Humphrey depending on what happens during the 2025 season. With Humphrey having one more season left in his contract after the year, it doesn’t put him in the best spot at age 29. The Ravens tried to bring some help around him and rising star Nate Wiggins in the secondary by signing Jaire Alexander last offseason, but it didn’t necessarily work out.

Report: Ravens Two-time All-Pro Marlon Humphrey May Be Surprise Trade Candidate

Baltimore could decide to let Humphrey play out the 2026 season, but the Ravens have been getting younger in the secondary and might decide to take that route. Originally selected as a first-round pick, the former Alabama product has been slowing down in recent memory. They will take a look at what type of impact he can have for the rest of the season since he has only one interception and five pass breakups.

It’s not illustrious numbers, but given that he’s a four-time Pro Bowler, this isn’t his best season if things don’t change. Baltimore has plenty of contracts to deal with during the upcoming offseason. They might change their mind, and a trade involving Humphrey isn’t impossible, so here are four teams that could trade for him.

Possible 2026 Destinations

Dallas Cowboys

While the 2025 season looks like it’ll be over, the Dallas Cowboys will most likely rebuild. This means players such as cornerback Trevon Diggs, who has been rumored to be cut, will move and become a free agent. Dallas did everything in their power to get things off to a good start on defense, but it never compensated for how the secondary has been playing. Rookie Shavon Revel Jr. had some bright spots, and Reddy Steward proved he’s a solid rotational corner threat.

However, they must figure out how to upgrade the entire secondary if they want to see DaRon Bland in his prime again. Humphrey isn’t the same anymore, but his experience could bring this unit back to life.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints will be rebuilding this upcoming offseason after another disastrous 2025 campaign. Kool-Aid McKinstry and Alontae Taylor are their best options at the position, but to get themselves in the postseason conversation again, they should look into Humphrey. The Saints have too many problems to solve, but why not actively build a reliable, complete defense while they figure it out on offense?

Washington Commanders

Despite Jayden Daniels’ return, the Commanders’ 2025 season is over. Cornerback Marshon Lattimore’s tenure with the team might be done as he suffered a season-ending injury against Dallas. This means they’re in the market for a starting cornerback. Humphrey could be the next big thing in Washington, especially with the cap space they’re going to have in 2026.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks have been on fire in the NFC, but cornerback Riq Woolen has been a part of trade rumors this 2025 campaign. They might entertain the idea of it in the offseason, depending on what happens in January. If that happens, Humphrey could be a viable replacement.
