Rasul Douglas was most recently with the Buffalo Bills.

The Seattle Seahawks are still looking for additional corner depth, and they might turn to a veteran who’s no stranger to high-pressure situations.

Former Buffalo Bills starting cornerback Rasul Douglas was in town for a free agent visit, having previously met with the Miami Dolphins. NFL insider Tom Pelissero had the initial report.

Douglas began his career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017, picking off two passes as a rookie and winning a Super Bowl. Not a bad way to cap off your first NFL season! He eventually fell out of favor in Philly and was waived in 2020 and picked up for one season with the Carolina Panthers. Douglas memorably went from the Arizona Cardinals practice squad to the Green Bay Packers active roster in 2021, picking off Kyler Murray to end Arizona’s undefeated record.

That was one of a career-high five interceptions on the year, with two returned for touchdowns. He amassed 10 picks with the Pack before he was traded to the Buffalo Bills in 2023. In his first season with Buffalo, Douglas snagged four more interceptions and had another pick-six.

Last season saw Douglas start 15 games, recording 58 tackles and five passes defensed and a forced fumble. It was his first season without an interception since 2020.

The Seahawks previously met with former starting corner Shaquill Griffin and have reportedly discussed a potential reunion. Seattle’s cornerback depth outside of Riq Woolen, Devon Witherspoon, and Josh Jobe is not deep with experienced players, so having one of Douglas or Griffin would establish a veteran presence on the team.
