The 2025 NFL Draft brought with it the highest scoring, and what is certain to be the most controversial, edition of the Armchair GM Challenge has come to a close.
The 2025 NFL Draft is in the books, and as a result the Seattle Seahawks have eleven newly drafted players on the roster, and Field Gulls has points to tally in order to determine the order of finish for the Armchair GM Draft Challenge.
As noted, this was the highest scoring Armchair GM Challenge in event history, with a whole lot of fans correctly predicting a whole lot of the players John Schneider added to the roster. Of the eleven players drafted, the number of times each drafted player appeared on one of the 233 entry forms was as follows:
- First round pick Grey Zabel: 204
- Second round pick Nick Emmanwori: 81
- Second round pick Elijah Arroyo: 72
- Third round pick Jalen Milroe: 69
- Fifth round pick Rylie Mills: 0
- Fifth round pick Tory Horton: 26
- Fifth round pick Robbie Ouzts: 7
- Sixth round pick and future Hall of Famer Bryce Cabeldue: 60
- Seventh round pick Damien Martinez: 14
- Seventh round pick Mason Richman: 0
- Seventh round pick Ricky White: 4
In short, there were a whole lot of entrants who correctly predicted a whole lot of the players the Seahawks drafted. So, without wasting any further time, here are the top ten finishers in reverse order:
10. Dub_C_206 (98 points): Cabeldue, Martinez, Arroyo and Zabel
9. Bonster (99 points): Zabel, Emmanwori, Milroe and Cabeldue
8. Anita_Cocktail (102 points): Zabel, Cabeldue, Arroyo and Milroe
7. kelphelper (104 points): Cabeldue, Ouzts, Zabel and Emmanwori,
5T. Michael STUFR Edwards (106 points): Emmanwori, Cabeldue, Ouzts, Zabel and Milroe
5T. Easley (106 points): Zabel, Emmanwori, Milroe, Arroyo
4. HawksFan17 (109 points): Zabel, Arroyo, White, Horton and Milroe
3. Oldboy (119): Zabel, Arroyo, Emmanwori, Milroe and Cabeldue
Which brings things to the top two finishers, and the part of the story where some people will inevitably get mad.
2. Griz94 (210 points): Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel and Zabel.
Yes, the second place finisher split their bet between Gray Zabel and Jared Wilson, alternating those two players along all 20 spots on the entry form. That resulted in 0 points for incorrectly guessing Wilson half the time and 210 points for correctly guessing Zabel the other half of the time.
Which brings things to the champion, and there are probably some players at home already fuming, so there’s no point beating around the bush, and we’ll get right to the scorecard and the entrant with a fitting name:
1. The System Is Rigged! (410 points): Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel, Zabel and Zabel
Yes, this entrant went all in and put their entire possibility of winning on a single player, and it paid off to the tune of the first perfect score in the history of the Armchair GM Challenge, and now we head to the comments for the anger to be unloaded.
