Russell Wilson played alongside Alex Collins with the Seattle Seahawks for three seasons.
On Monday, Collins passed away tragically at the age of 28. In the wake of the shocking news, many people have taken to Twitter to pay tribute to the former running back, including Wilson.
“To one of my favorite teammates. You brought joy to every huddle. Keep Dancin’ in Heaven. Love you AC. Forever missed. #RIP,” Wilson wrote.

Collins was a fifth-round pick of the Seahawks out of Arkansas in 2016. He spent his rookie season with Seattle before moving on to the Baltimore Ravens for two years.
Collins returned to the Seahawks in 2020 and spent the next two seasons with the team. Overall, he finished with 613 rushing yards and five touchdowns in 25 games with Seattle.
For his career with the Seahawks and Ravens, Collins tallied 1,997 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns while also catching 59 passes for 467 yards and a touchdown.
The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native most recently played with the USFL’s Memphis Showboats during the 2023 spring season.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Collins family during this difficult time.
