Nate McCollum split his collegiate time between Georgia Tech and North Carolina.

The Seattle Seahawks have tinkered with their roster one week out from the start of Organized Team Activities (OTAs).

On Tuesday the team announced the signing of wide receiver Nate McCollum, an undrafted free agent who played his college football at North Carolina and Georgia Tech. To make room on the 90-man roster, Seattle waived guard Sala Aumavae-Laulu, who was signed to a reserve/future contract back in February.

McCollum caught 143 passes for 1,521 yards and five touchdowns in college. He also rushed for two touchdowns and returned kickoffs as a North Carolina senior and punts as a redshirt sophomore at Georgia Tech. Based on his pro day measurements he’s listed at 5’8 and 184 lbs with a 4.45-second 40-yard dash.

After going undrafted last month, McCollum was part of rookie minicamp with the New York Giants but obviously didn’t go beyond that.

We’re at the part of offseason where there will be significant roster turnover at the bottom of the depth chart during OTAs and minicamp, so there should be no expectations for McCollum outside of being a camp body. It’s an extremely uphill battle for him to be on the regular season roster outside of any special teams value. Still, you might be interested in McCollum’s skill set, so let’s watch his highlight package!
