The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a frustrating road loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and are making some tweaks to their roster ahead of Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
According to ProFootballTalk, the Seahawks are signing wide receiver Cody Thompson to the active roster. Thompson started the season on the 53-man roster but was cut after three weeks and later signed to the practice squad.
The 27-year-old wide receiver has one career reception, which came two weeks ago against the New York Giants. He’s already recorded career highs in snap totals on both offense and special teams.
With Thompson joining the active roster, the Seahawks are also adding some bodies to their practice squad. Wide receiver Cody White and tackle Greg Eiland are in while quarterback Holton Ahlers is being released.

The Seahawks are 3-2 on the season but two wins behind the rival San Francisco 49ers. They lost their only NFC West game so far with a season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
If the Seahawks want to win the NFC West this year, they need to start winning their divisional games, starting with the Cardinals this weekend.
Will Cody Thompson be a contributor to the effort this week?
