Will the Seahawks have any surprises in store at this year’s NFL Draft?
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Seahawks fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The NFL Draft is just three days away, and there’s great anticipation (and anxiety, perhaps) over what the Seattle Seahawks will do this year. After enjoying four picks over Rounds 1-2 in the 2023 draft, Seattle only has one pick (No. 16) in the top 64. Not ideal, but that can be rectified through trade downs. We haven’t seen the Seahawks do a trade down with its top pick since 2019. John Schneider regularly traded down until more recent seasons; if there was ever a time to trade down it’s probably now.
Will the Seahawks trade down, stay put at No. 16, or pull off a shocker and trade up (which would almost certainly be for a quarterback)? That’s your first question!
Next up is related to the first question. The Seahawks currently have seven picks, albeit none in Round 2. Will we see the Seahawks look to acquire more picks? The state of the roster indicates seven might not be enough. Vote your prediction as to whether Seattle will end the draft with seven selections, fewer than seven, or more than seven.
Lastly, who will the Seahawks take with their first draft pick? DraftKings Sportsbook’s top odds have Seattle taking an offensive lineman, with defensive line/edge rusher as next best odds, followed by quarterback, and cornerback. I’m going to swap out cornerback for safety for the sake of this question. In lieu of asking to you pick a specific player, you’ll answer based on position. Will the Seahawks go OL, DL, QB, S, or other? If you pick other, let us know in the comments.

If you don’t see instant results to check the percentages after voting, that’s by design. We will reveal the full results on Thursday morning in a separate Seahawks Reacts article.
Incidentally, the Field Gulls Armchair GM Challenge is back again this year! John Gilbert will have more details imminently.
