A scary situation unfolded during the Seattle Seahawks’ preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night.
Wide receiver Cade Johnson had to be taken off the field on a stretcher after suffering a concussion. He was then transported to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center for more testing.

After the game, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that the team got a good report on Johnson, but is staying the night as a precaution.
“We got a real good report, the early one,” Carroll said, via ESPN. “I’m hoping that’s conclusive, but that’s what we heard.”
Johnson suffered a concussion during the second quarter after he got tackled on a kickoff return.
He’s been with the organization since 2021 after he was signed as an undrafted free agent. He’s spent most of his time on the practice squad but did appear in three games last year.
Here’s to a speedy recovery for Johnson.
