People love to talk about the unknowns on the Seattle Seahawks; the receivers; the defensive ends; the secondary. And that’s fair to explore when discussing their prospects in the 2019 season. But as I do before every year I like to refocus on the knowns.
Specifically that the Seahawks have arguably one of the top five players on offense and on defense. Sure, last year they could have argued two of the top five players on defense, and during their best stretches they had maybe four or more of the top 20, but I can’t rule out Seattle as being competitive in any season when they have Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner calling shots no matter which side of the ball takes the field.
NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger gave his Twitter film study treatment to Wagner this week, albeit briefly in this two-minute video explaining how patience is Wagner’s greatest virtue.
.@Seahawks @Bwagz is the one MLB I would study nonstop if I was a young linebacker and wanted to play at a pro bowl level. Speed is great, but diagnosing the play first; and then trusting your speed and angles is better. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/tDqspQM1gk
