Top 5 DraftKings DFS Sleeper Picks For Monday Night Football

September 30, 2023 by Last Word On Pro Football

DraftKings DFS

They say “Styles make fights” and that’s why this game should be pretty interesting. It might not be pretty to watch but it’s challenging to know which team has the edge. The Seahawks defensive backfield has been decimated by injuries already. This week they had seven defensive backs on their injury report, although it appears Tariq Woolen has recovered from his chest problem. 65% of the Giants yards have come through the air so far this season, but Daniel Jones has thrown four picks and fumbled the ball twice. So Daboll won’t want to ask his quarterback to do too much this week. Saquon Barkley might not be ready to go this week though, so Jones might have to do some of the running. An inconsistent quarterback and an injured running back make for some interesting DraftKings DFS options.

Undervalued Week 4 Monday Night Picks on DraftKings DFS

The Absolute Steal DraftKings DFS Pick – Noah Fant

Fant might be the Iowa tight end who hasn’t quite found his feet in the NFL yet*, but at $2,900 on DraftKings this week he’s still a bargain. In Week 1 the Seahawks seemed to forget he existed as he started the game but didn’t see a single target, but that’s improved as Geno Smith has.

In the last two weeks, Fant has had eight catches for 97 yards. Last week, George Kittle had his best game of the season against the New York Giants, so Fant is set for an even better time in Week 4.

*yes he’s had two 100-yard games, but he’s no Dallas Clark or T.J Hockenson

The Bargain Receiving Option Pick – Darius Slayton

He’s only $4,000 on DraftKings, making him the fifth most expensive receiver in this game. The Seahawks defense had some issues defending DJ Chark last week and Slayton has similar traits. He’s not quite as fast as Chark, but they both clocked 4.3 40-yard times.  In Week 2 the average “depth of target” on the passes thrown to Slayton was 22 yards, but that dropped to 12 yards last week. If the Giants pass blocking can give Slayton enough time to get downfield before the pass he’ll have a big night.

The Upward Trajectory DraftKings DFS Pick – Zach Charbonnet

The rookie’s snap count jumped from 26% in Week 2 to 43% last week. And as his rushing attempts grew from four to nine his average yards per carry rocketed from 4 to 5.11. Charbonnet is just $4,500 on DraftKings, making him the fifth most expensive of the eight backs available (and Saquon might not even play).

Charbonnet isn’t just a threat running the ball either, he’s at home catching passes out of the backfield too. He’s caught three of his four targets so far this season.

A Longshot DraftKings DFS Pick – Jalin Hyatt

He’s always boom or bust, but when Daniel Jones does hook up with him it’s usually for a huge chunk play. The Giants are going to need a few of those to keep up with the Seahawks this week. Seattle’s offense is averaging 2.5 points per drive (that’s the fifth most in the league).

At $3,500 Hyatt is the sixth most expensive receiver on Monday night.

The Total Shot In The Dark Pick – Jake Bobo

If that’s too rich for your blood, how about another Seahawks rookie who is cheaper than Hyatt? Bobo is just $3,000 and with good reason. He’s only caught two passes all season, but last week’s went for a touchdown. He’s 6′-4″ so he towers over most defensive backs. And like Charbonnet, his snap count rocketed last week. Bobo played just 25% of the snaps in Week 2. But last week he was on the field for 41% of the offense’s snaps.
