Two Cousins Will Square Off In Tonight’s Cowboys vs. Seahawks Game

There could be a few houses divided during tonight’s Cowboys-Seahawks game as two cousins playing for both teams are set to face off.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dallas Cowboys are elevating rookie tight end Princeton Fant for tonight’s game on Thursday Night Football. Fant is the cousin to Seattle Seahawks starting tight end Noah Fant.

Princeton Fant was a starting tight end at the University of Tennessee who contributed nine touchdowns to the Vols during their 2022 campaign. He wound up going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Noah Fant was an even bigger star at the University of Iowa during the 2010s and earned All-Big Ten honors on two occasions. In 2019, the Denver Broncos made him the No. 20 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

But the Broncos sent Fant to the Seahawks as part of last year’s blockbuster trade for Russell Wilson.

A cousins’ reunion: The Cowboys elevated TE Princeton Fant from their practice squad for tonight’s game against Seattle. He is cousins with Seahawks’ TE Noah Fant.

This season, Noah Fant has 19 receptions for 261 yards in Seattle. Meanwhile, Princeton Fant has yet to appear in an NFL game, much less make a reception.

Will this be the game that Princeton Fant makes his first catch?
