- The Mariners have agreed to a minor league deal with right-hander Bryan Shaw.

- In a scary bit of news from last night, a fan at PNC Park in Pittsburgh fell from the outfield wall onto the field (a 21-foot drop) and was taken to the hospital — the seriousness of his injuries is unknown as of this writing.
- Marlins outfielder Griffin Conine is going to miss the rest of the season after suffering a shoulder injury.
- Astros right-hander Lance McCullers is expected to be activated from the injured list this weekend, which will mark his first big league action since 2022.
- The oft-injured Tyler Glasnow is being shut down for two weeks due to shoulder inflammation.
- The Marlins unveiled their new “Retrowave” City Connect jerseys for the 2025 campaign.
- Former Mariners right-hander Matt Festa has been dealt from the Rangers to the Guardians for cash considerations.
