It was a weird Saturday in baseball.

Hello everyone! As we head into this Sunday filled with day games in baseball, here are some links for you.

In Mariners news…

  • This seems good.

  • In case you missed it, the Mariners placed Diego Castillo on the injured list with shoulder inflammation. Hopefully this doesn’t keep him out of action for too long.

Around the league…

  • People are getting antsy as Miggy approaches 500.

Miguel Cabrera has gone 8 straight games without a HR since hitting No. 499 on August 11.

The most games between a player’s 499th and 500th home run is 15 (Jimmie Foxx).

  • This is insane. How have I never seen this happen before?

  • Aaron Nola flirted with a no-hitter yesterday, taking it into the seventh inning until an error by Brad Miller spoiled the magic.
