Mariners Reacts Survey: An Offseason of Mediocrity

Will the run-it-back Mariners make a great leap forward? Or are they simply running in place

The Mariners have had a rather quiet offseason, to put it mildly. While Jerry Dipoto became known league-wide for his wheeling-and-dealing style when he first joined the Mariners, practically overturning and overhauling the roster multiple years in a row, he’s been happy for the Mariners to stand pat in more recent years. This year looks like more of the same as Dipoto stated at his yearly pre-season press conference earlier this month:

“It’s been a pretty quiet offseason, and I think that’s reflective of a team that didn’t have a whole lot of holes to fill…we feel great about the stability in our team, and we feel like our offense doesn’t get enough credit for the things that they do well.”

So, with pitchers and catchers reporting, it looks like the Mariners’ offseason is coming to a definitive close, barring a surprise major move. With that being said, we would love to hear what our readers think about what the Mariners have accomplished with this offseason; please answer the survey below.

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Mariners fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
